Part-time Adjunct Instructor of Italian at UMass Lowell
General Summary of Position:
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach two sections of Italian 1 and Culture (pending enrollment). The successful candidate will be expected to begin work on January 16, 2024.
Under the guidance of the Italian program coordinator, the ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment. The University of Massachusetts Lowell is committed to increasing diversity in its faculty, staff, and student populations, as well as curriculum and support programs, while promoting an inclusive environment. The Department of World Languages and Cultures seeks candidates who can contribute to that goal. Instructors will be expected to attend a scheduled orientation in January.

- M.A. degree or above in Italian in hand
- Native or near-native proficiency in Italian and English required
- Extensive teaching experience at the college level in lower-division courses using communicative approach in the classroom

Part-Time Evening Employment Opportunity for Italian Language Teachers at the Dante Alighieri Society Italian Language School located in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA.

Compensation: $75 per hour for 2 hours of in-person classroom instruction.
Class Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Each term spans 10 weeks: Winter, Spring, and Fall.

We are looking for an elementary school Italian teacher for the Newington, NH and Newcastle, NH schools. The current position is part-time. However, there are strong possibilities of the position expanding to a full-time position. Interested candidates could augment their hours with substitute teaching for this calendar year.
This position would include collaboration with an engaged and excited Italian teaching team.

- Minimum requirement BA (4-year degree) with at least two courses in Italian. Major or minor in Italian preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work with a team and train in comprehensible input
- NH teacher certification preferred but not required, willingness to work on a certification plan as needed.
