
ELIGIBILITY
- Students must be seniors in high school.
- Students must have studied Italian for at least three years at the high school level.
- Students must be planning to attend a four-year accredited college or university.
- The Italian teacher must be a current member of the AATI/MITA (only from the state of Masssachusetts).

A. STUDENT. Complete our online application providing the required personal information and uploading the following documents:

- an official school transcript
- a typed personal statement, written in English describing the impact the study of Italian has had on your life and its role in your future

B. TEACHER / RECOMMENDER. The application will be considered incomplete until we receive the following two documents:

Both the evaluation and the letter of recommendation can be uploaded by your teacher / recommender using the links above. When applying for the scholarship, please direct them to this page. Both documents must be submitted by April 12th, 2025.

- The MITA Scholarship Committee will review all applications that are completed on time.
- Scholarship amounts vary depending on the funds available to MITA (checks will be issued directly to the recipients).
- Students will be notified directly regarding the status of their application in mid-May.
