REGOLAMENTO
The competition is open to all high schools levels, but be aware that there will be no division of levels in the evaluating process (ex. if a colleague brings a level 2 class, they may be competing with someone’s AP class).
• Each teacher may bring up to 20 students plus 2 chaperones.
• The oral component must be an original piece written and performed live by the students.
• Not every student from each school is required to be in the performance, but each school must be represented by some form of presentation.
• The top 3 high school performances will be awarded prizes for their schools.
• Performances must be 5-10 minutes long and cannot exceed the 10 minutes time limit.
• Each school is responsible for bringing their own props/music/audio.
To participate in the program, groups must select their topic and plan their performance. Because this is a very broad theme , it allows for much creativity. Please, be selective when choosing your topic!
Lunch will be offered to all participants and their chaperons!

Brandeis University, Waltham (MA)

Join us in celebrating Italian and our students’ creativity during our Giornata dell’italiano!
For the 5th year, MITA is sponsoring the annual Italian Day for secondary school students of Italian in Massachusett.
This year La Giornata will take place at Brandeis University (Waltham, MA) and we are particularly grateful to the head of the Italian Studies Department, prof. Paola Servino, and the Italian Consulate in Boston for co-sponsoring and collaborating with us. In this contest we invite each participating school to create a 10-15 mins. skit, or another form of performance in Italian about the topic chosen by the organizing committee. For more information, visit our dedicated page.
Registration closes on March 17, 2023.
